The world-renowned Iron Man event will be returning to Tenby on 22nd September. Come along to cheer on the athletes and immerse yourself in the live music and a buzzing atmosphere. This community filled event brings everyone together and is a joyous occasion where everyone can join in the camaraderie. And don’t forget you can also take advantage of your time in Tenby to explore its history, stunning beaches, array of local shops and produce, Tenby Lifeboat Station and a must see – the infamous picturesque harbour. Swim Course

The day starts with an early morning 2.4 mile swim course from Tenby’s North Beach, home to Goscar Rock. North Beach overlooks the picturesque Tenby harbour where there is ample viewing space – we recommend standing on the clifftops overlooking the beach where you can get a bird’s eye view!

Cycling

Following the swim, athletes will embark on a two-loop 112 mile (180.2 km) bike course that takes them on a return ride through the scenic countryside of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

The Run

To finish the weekend off, is the four-loop 26.2 mile (42.2 km) run course. Into the evening, the medieval town walls and picturesque beachfront are lined with thousands of spectators that will be there waiting to cheer on the athletes as they arrive back at the starting point, Tenby’s Esplanade - a stunning sea front location to soak up the bustling atmosphere!
