CALLING KNITTERS, TATTERS, CROCHETERS AND WORKERS AND LOVERS OF ALL THINGS WOOLLY

The West Wales Wool Show is back! Taking place in Narberth, Pembrokeshire on Saturday 12th October 2024

The show is split over 2 venues – The Queen’s Hall and Plas Hyfryd Hotel and runs from 10:00am until 4:00pm.

From fleece to finished products, every stage of wool working is on display and available for purchase. Beautifully crafted handmade items of footwear, clothing, home décor and nick-nacks abound. As well as a rainbow of knitting wool of all types, and all tools necessary for working it. There will be demonstrations of all kinds throughout the day, including spinning, weaving, knitting and crochet.

The show is run by the Pembrokeshire Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers with the support of PLANED a community led charity, with an innovative people first approach. The aim of the show, as well as show casing the beautiful craftsmanship, is to help support local wool producers and small artisan businesses. Wool is still undervalued, even though it is a renewable resource. The show aims to bring this wonderful natural product to the forefront of people’s minds as we all strive to do better for our environment.

Pure Welsh – Southwest Wales smallholding raising wool sheep

Duck & Bee – Felting and fibre artist

Lili-wen Looms – Basket and loom weaving

Hedgehog Equipment – Manufacturer of carding, spinning and weaving equipment
