Puffin Cottage Holidays presents Penalun House, a 4 bedroom character-filled Victorian town house with spectacular views over the sea and headlands.
Penalun House sits peacefully in the small and picturesque village of Penally, enjoying an elevated position which captures the magnificent views across the bay. South Beach is just a short 5-10 minute walk from the house and Tenby can be reached in about 25 minute by walking across the beach or along the public footpaths.
Penally itself offers two traditional pubs, two award-winning restaurants and a bakery. The village is within easy reach of Tenby, from where various boat trips depart daily, and Pembrokeshire's best family attractions are just a short drive away including Manor House Wildlife Park Zoo, Oakwood Theme Park, Heatherton and The Dinosaur Park.
Set over 3 floors, stone steps lead up through the multi-level garden and to the cottage which enters into the porch (with storage for coats and shoes), and leads into the hallway.
Kitchen/Diner: Well-equipped with everything you will need for your self-catering holiday including dishwasher, fridge-freezer, gas range stove and electric oven and microwave. The dining area benefits from TV with DVD player only and comfortably seats up to 8 people next to the cosy wood burner, in front of the gorgeous bay window which perfectly captures the wonderful sea views.
Utility Room: Equipped with washer/dryer and leads through to the shower room with corner shower, toilet and wash hand basin - ideal for washing off the sand after a day at the beach!
Upstairs:
Lounge: Two cosy leather sofas, Smart TV with Freeview and incredible views from the two large windows.
Bedroom 1: Double bed and ample storage.
Family Bathroom: Freestanding bath, shower cubicle, toilet and wash hand basin.
Third Floor:
Bedroom 2: King-size bed, wardrobe and dressing table. Enjoy waking up to the bracing sea and island views.
Bedroom 3: Twin beds, ample storage.
Bedroom 4: Bunk beds set next to the window which further captures the coast and island views.
Outside, to the front, there is a patio garden set over two levels with outside seating taking in the views - relax with a drink, or enjoy some al-fresco dining at the end of a busy day exploring all that Pembrokeshire has to offer.
NB: The third (bottom) level of the garden is not for guest use and is cordoned off. There is a drop from this level to the road and children should be supervised at all times.
To the rear of the property, off the kitchen there is a small courtyard - ideal for storing your buckets and spades, kayaks or bikes. You can also access the property through this courtyard via a metal staircase.
Penalun House further benefits from a BBQ, WiFi and central heating throughout. There is street parking 30 seconds away (subject to availability) and a pay and display car park approximately a 5 minute walk away.
One well-behaved dog welcome. If your bringing your furry friends, why not check out our dog friendly beaches guide.
Check in is from 4pm on day of arrival.
There is a refundable £100 damage and good-housekeeping deposit when staying at this property.

Fantastic short break
Fantastic short break for 8 of us. Kitchen had everything we needed to even rustle up a roast dinner! And Tesco delivered with no issues. Comfy beds, great showers and a perfect location. Easy walk along the beach to Tenby and get the train back if you can’t be bothered to walk! Would be very happy to return!

Penulan House was delightful
Penulan House was delightful. It was comfortable and had all be needed. We enjoyed being in the village of Penally. It was a great spot from which to explore further into Pembrokeshire. We got as far as St David's and St Dogmaels. We also walked a lot from the house, including the beautiful walk into Tenby along the beach. We followed the instructions and brought our gear in from the rear. However for the rest of our stay, including when we left, we always used the front door. Whilst this was up steps we felt not as steep or hazardous as at the rear. The climb up to the house was well worth it for the incredible views out to Giltar Point. Penulan House and Tenby were a surprising gem.

Such a fantastic house and area
Such a fantastic house and area and we loved staying between Christmas and New Year, thank you. We were able to park the car seconds away from the house and not use it again until we left, thanks to the amazing walks, bus service and the 2 cozy and welcoming pubs in the village. Despite the December weather, we walked several times along the stunning beach to Tenby where there are some amazing independent shops and we were able to source a completely local 3 course meal and wine to prepare and cook back at the house for New Year’s Eve, which was very special. The house was so peaceful and the view's are absolutely amazing. The layout also really suited as a family with 4 teenagers as everyone could have their space is needed. A perfect retreat after a hectic Christmas, thank you.

Splendid House With Sea Views. Great Location.
Beautiful well appointed house with stunning sea views. Ideal location in a quiet village. Near to a friendly local pub with good food. Also, made use of the local bakery and farm shop. Could walk along the beach to Tenby or catch the train. Perfect location for visiting various beaches, coastal walks, castles and boat trips. So much to do and see, will definitely book again. It felt like a home from home. Much thought has gone into the comfort of the guests. Highly recommended.
