Gorse Cottage is in the coastal village of Penally, one mile southwest of Tenby. The village is known for its Celtic Cross, and the Gothic style country house called Penally Abbey. It also has two traditional pubs, two award-winning restaurants, two golf courses and a bakery within a short distance, the Cross Inn is 75 metres up the road, the nearest restaurant is 100 metres.
The cottage boosts magnificent views that overlook Tenby, Caldey Island, Giltar Point, and Tenby Golf Course, which runs alongside Tenby’s South Beach. The public footpaths head through the golf links to the beach (5 minutes’ walk away) and on to Tenby, which can be reached on foot in about 25 minutes, or 3 minutes on the train or 10 minutes on the bus.
Penally is part of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, it runs in both directions, towards Tenby then on to Saundersfoot or in the other direction to Lydstep and Manorbier.
Penally Train Station is only a 150 metres away, allowing you arrive by train and explore the area on foot, or by bike, allowing you to be car free during your holiday.
